We stayed here for five nights over Christmas - we booked three rooms, and the rooms - were clean and fresh and had everything we needed. Small kitchenette and microwave if needed. The restaurant is available - and within walking distance to the beach, shops, Country Club, anywhere. The owners were so so helpful and friendly before - during, and upon leaving. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone and would stay again. I just loved the fact that our rooms were made up each day - rubbish was removed, and I did not have to take linen or make beds; fantastic wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you xxx

Amazing welcome , friendly and happy and helpful . Directed to our room and showed where to park .room comfortable with all you need for an overnight stay. Fabulous large shower. Restaurant downstairs was the best ever, very busy but staff pleasant and helpful food was 5 star. Beach a 10 minute walk away absolutely beautiful wish we could have stayed longer . Highly recommend

We had a lovely 3 night Stay just after Christmas. We were warmly greeted on our arrival, our room was beautifuly Clean and comfortable! The grounds and pool were immaculate! It was just amazing! We will definitely be back Thanks Di and Fred :)

Wonderful stay we had everything we needed. Fred so welcoming on check in and made sure we had everything we needed. Our 8 year old enjoyed the heated pool. Located close to the beach coffee shops and restaurants. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when in South West Rocks again.

Hidden gem - Clean, Comfortable and a Quiet Location
We loved our room with plenty of space, comfortable bed, quiet air-conditioning, kitchenette and well-designed bathroom with dispensers for hand soap, shower gel, shampoo etc. An easy 10 min walk to beach and shops. The on-site bar and restaurant is excellent. Undercover secure parking. Friendly staff and we appreciated fresh milk on arrival.

Have stayed here a few times, which is why we come back. Everything is in the room that you need if you want to self cater, or there is an on-site Restaurant for meals. At the moment with COVIDSafe restrictions the meals will be delivered to your room. The management is very friendly and helpful. The room is very spacious, there is a pool and a guest laundry. It’s located a short walk to the local sports club. A 5 minute drive to the shops and beach. Will always recommend staying here.

Absolutely loved our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble. Our room was very large with its own balcony and spa. Super clean and quiet too. Will definitely be staying here again.

GREAT room heaps of space VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. Beds are superb. Jodie was Very friendly and helpful. We were on our motor bikes raining. SO UNDER COVER PARKING FANBLOODYTASTIC. WILL BE BACK

The Rockpool was a great find at South West Rocks. The service was excellent, friendly and welcoming at reception, we arrived early and it was no problem to check-in. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The restaurant was a real little gem - delicious food, brilliant service and value for money.

"Great place to stay overnight returning from the Gold Coast"
Jody booked us into our preferred upstairs room and into the Restaurant as well , we enjoyed both the overnight stay and the evening meal . Following our stay we were back in Sydney around midday .If travelling from the Gold Coast ,and stopping every couple of hours for short refreshment you can be at this Motel around 2,30 pm . Plenty of time to visit the shopping areas locally .

"Comfortable room, lovely pool, great staff"
We had planned to have a few days on the mid north coast of NSW and booked the Rockpool at South West Rocks. Jody was most helpful in changing our booking when the bush fires were raging and we felt it was best to stay out of the area. The following week we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend it. The bed was very comfortable, the small kitchen was adequate for our breakfast and afternoon tea. We enjoyed exploring the area, visiting Trial Bay gaol and the Smoky Cape lighthouse. Views were a bit obscured by bushfire smoke, but we will be back to further enjoy South West Rocks and the Rockpool Motor Inn.

We stayed at a couple different places while we visited South West Rocks, but this place was by far the best. The rooms were very clean and the location pleasant, but what made the stay really worth while was the staff. Everyone was as nice as you could imagine and extremely attentive. They made you feel welcome and were happy to offer suggestions about the area. The next time I go back to South West Rocks, I won’t hesitate to book this place.

"Kindest, friendliest and genuine manager! Home away from home."
We had been evacuated due to the bushfires and had family had no room left, my daughter called the Rockpool, who were more than accommodating. We arrived and were greeted so warmly by the manager, who settled us in promptly and without fuss. I honestly felt so comfortable and safe while I was staying at the Rockpool. It was exactly what I needed. I can't thank you enough.

"A wonderful haven with a superstar manager"
We were travelling from Sydney to Brisbane but had a three hour delay at a standstill on the highway due to bushfires. By the time we were able to drive on, all the accommodation nearby was closed or fully booked. Our young boys were excited at the prospect of ‘camping’ in the car but with bushfires nearby my husband and I were not! At 10pm, I rang the Rockpool Motor Inn and Jodie, the manager, was kind enough to wait almost an hour for us to arrive, open reception and she gave us a lovely family room for a great rate. She could not have been more friendly or helpful which was so nice after a long and stressful day. The room was large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable and even had a kitchenette. We’d love to visit again in better circumstances. Thanks again, Jodie - you are our hero!

"Quiet easy-access room with spacious kitchenette"
We needed somewhere to stay at short notice during a bushfire evacuation. We needed somewhere with a kitchenette and an easy-access bathroom as one of us had recently had surgery and was infirm and hence unable to eat out. In the 'easy access' room we were given on the ground floor, the kitchenette had loads of bench space and even had shelves to store the many foodstuffs we'd brought with us, which is unusual in a motel kitchenette. The bathroom was like one in a hospital with superb level access to the shower. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet. An all round good experience!

"Great hotel with great service"
We had to unexpectedly stay 2 nights here when the highways were shut due to the bushfires. It was a great hotel, clean and modern, great location next to the country club and a short walk into town and the beach. Jodie was incredibly helpful with our last minute room bookings. Greatly appreciated and helped us make the most of a short unexpected stay. Thanks!

A great place to stay, clean and modern. The staff were friendly and professional. Walking distance to the Country Club. Plenty to see in the local area such as Trial Bay Gaol, good fishing and scuba diving.

A surprising and pleasant last minute stop over on our way north. This motel is a gem and so is the village of South West Rocks. The receptionist at check in was welcoming and kind, the room was large enough for two and was sparkling clean.

Whilst we haven’t yet stayed here, I would like to say a HUGE thanks to Jodi for being so understanding and helpful with changes to our booking at such short notice!
We were supposed to be checking in this weekend (Nov 1-3) and due to circumstances out of our control, we needed to change our booking arrangements.
Jodi was extremely helpful in helping me do this online and we are so very appreciative.
Looking forward to our stay in a fortnight’s time instead. Nothing was too much trouble for Jodi.

The service given by Jodi by meeting our requirements is exceptional.
The rooms we love, comfortable well laid out, exceptionally clean.
